Case Study:

House Renovation

A customer was downsizing and looking to modernise a 1960's bungalow.

They were looking for a contemporary home with minimal upkeep.

Bathroom
Old bathroom suite was removed and the room was prepared for modernisation and the fitting of a new suite. The timber floor to the bathroom needed to be replaced due to dry rot, all joist, plates and floor boards were replaced. New Pipe work was laid to accommodate new suite. Walls were rendered ready for ceramic tiling.  Tiles were fixed to walls and floor areas and new shower cubicle, basin, toilet and fixing and fittings were installed.

Kitchen/Diner
A New opening to dining room and kitchen was formed supported with an RSJ.  A new boiler and pipe work were installed and units selected by the customer.

Living Room
Walls and ceilings re-plastered and painted.
New fire surround was fitted to front room and oak flooring, skirting’s, doors and architraves.  The result was an airy yet homely living area.

Bedroom
Old wardrobes were modernised and repaired with budget in mind. A new oak floor was laid and all trimmings including bespoke skirting moulded in oak to form the curve required in the bay window area. Work through out also included re plastering to all walls and ceilings, new electrics, an oak floor and all fixtures and fittings.
